I just took a Home For Good Mentoring cl. I'm suppose to do vollunteer mentoring with women upon release from prison. I'm wanting to put together a packet to help them. I was thinking about a free gift like an inspirational book and a list of employers who hire felons. Any suggestions on what els to put in the packet? What would be a nice gift to help them get started?

What was the most interesting thing you did today?

I went to a festival at the park. It has everything, music, dancing, art, advertisers (doctors offices, newspapers, local businesses), children's games, a car show... It was a lot of fun! One of the dance groups had four year olds in little belly shirts and mini skirts. That bothered me. And some of the vendors were rude. But I had fun with my mom and my friends! :)

I have a friend (boy) from Church who is 7 years younger than me, one day he asked to visit me & I agreed, by the time he was about to leave, he just stood there & kept on asking me what time does the cabs to his place get finished. I started to feel a little uncomfortable but he never left so around 23h00 he asked to take a shower, i agreed (mind u he didn't have any toiletries so i had to go all out for his bath). How do I keep ducks from pooping in my yard?

We have a house on the river and only stay there on weekends in the summer. Our problem is that our neighbor lives there year round and feeds many wild (now tame) ducks. They hear her porch door slam and they come from all over. After they eat they walk to our yard and poop. We have many friends with children that pull up on their boats to visit and play all afternoon. Nobody can walk in the yard or on the beach without out sandals on. Let alone play volley ball or frisbee or have the children nap in the shade on a pallet! We have tried mowing the gr before we start playing but all that does is stir everything (poop) up. We have called the game warden and the local health dept. We have no leg to stand on. One game warden suggested, unofficially, that we trap the ducks and carry them far far away. This lady loves her ducks and my husband and I hate to be mean but we are tired of walking around the tons of little land mines! I welcome your suggestions!!!!

Is a bone scan advised with my symptoms?

Had prostatectomy 2 years ago. All PSA's since then < 0.1 inlcuding the one in Feb 07. Have had mild, dull hip pain for last 4 weeks (right side only). Only hurts when sitting. Have a new bicycle with narrow seat. Pain worse after riding so I quit riding. My doctor (GP) did a quick exam and is sending me for bone scan, supposedly suspecting a hairline crack in hip bone. Do the symptoms fit this preliminary diagnosis? By the way, had MRI bone scan before surgery in 2005 which was negative for bone cancer. Should I go ahead with the bone scan for the value of it finding other things?

Honestly bettas don't need a 5 gallon tank. I would say that a 2 gallon fish bowl is good. It's bull crap when people say they need a filter and heater cause honestly they don't. Haven't left the house in 3 days....depression, bulimia, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts?

I haven't left my house in about 3 days, almost 4. I think the last time was the 27th, after I returned from a family Christmas get together trip, to go to the laundromat and maybe Walgreens, and then back home. I have binged 2 times and mini binged 1 time since then, and purged all three times by taking 20-25 Correctol laxative tablets + 0-8 Ex Lax Maximum Strength laxative tablets + 0-10 oz. magnesium citrate saline laxative, accompanied by 3 or more hours after the binge but never later at night than 12am. I went to bed usually within a few hours of taking all of the laxatives, and had violent diarrhea, strong urges to use the toilet, abdominal cramping, bloating, and sometimes vomiting, for up to 8 hours after waking up. I might take 2-6 diuretic capsules with directions to take 2 in one dose, no more than 3 doses per day, later on in the morning or early afternoon. I have been smoking about 3/4 of marijuana per week with a gl pipe, and occasionally taking 0.5-2.5mg Klonopin. Continuing to take 200mg Trazadone per night for sleep. Avoiding social contact, haven't been leaving the house, feelings of worthlessness, helplessness, feeling like I can't do anything right. It takes me a very long time to do any small task. I am currently prescribed 100mg Pristiq/day, 30mg Vyvanse/day (but I sometimes either don't take it or take 60mg), 0.5mg Klonopin as needed, and Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo birth control. I feel like my life is completely pointless, I am useless, a waste of space. I can't get myself to leave the house.

Should I get the Loaded Dervish or the Loaded Tan Tien?

I have done a lot of research and I have decided to either get the Loaded Dervish or the Loaded Tan Tien. I am kind of leaning towards the Dervish because, it is slightly longer than the Tan Tien and I would like a longboard for speed and occasional sliding. However I also like the Tan Tien because of the kick tails, I would like to do some tricks and I also like the graphic better on the Tan Tien. I am aware that the Dervish does only come with spray on grip tape, I would make a custom griptape design. I also like the Tan Tien's design tho. In all I am torn, I will be riding for many commuting purposes but I would also like to do slides and tricks and downhill. I have also heard of the Tan Tien cracking after hitting a curb at a few miles an hour so I think the Dervish may be more durable. Please tell me your opinion and convince me over one or the other. Urgent help about a spider?

alright so a seal went on my 1990 honda accords 5 speed transmission and all the gear lube leaked out resulting in total failure of the transmission even ripped a 3 inch long gash in the case. now the only transmission shop in my town said that if i get a used transmission he'll put a new clutch, pressure plate, etc. in it and put it on the car for 500 is this about what i should be paying or should i look around at other shops near my area.. also I enjoy working on my car myself and have replaced and worked on just about everything under the hood expect for doing anything to the block or head.. so i feel comfortable working on my car just haven't ever touched the transmission so also would this be a job someone with my experience could be able to do aslong as i use my trusty repair manual.. i'd love to go this route since it would be cheaper and i would know that only the best parts are being used. thanks for any input on this question!

Im not ok, shes not OK, she starts humming happily as she is eating dinner. Im horrified. she doesnt have a conscience, the whole "talk" she kept inventing lies for everything, blamed everyone but herself and even got to the point to where she blamed the little person inside of herself who tells her to do things even though she knows its wrong. If you think about it logically, the chances of a deity existing are slim to none. There are too many flaws in religion. If he is omnipotent, why did he create the angels to help him, why did he create Lucifer, knowing he would turn bad. My husband left us...?

I guess he was miserable with me so he moved out one day while I was at work... He has been teeter/totering with me and I have no idea what to do. I obviously do not want a divorce, I want to at least try to counseling and working on being a better couple - but he doesn't want to try. He is staying with a couple friend of ours. Although I am thankful that they've allowed him to stay there - the majority of the time the guy is away for work, so it's just my husband and a female living together - That situation makes me uncomfortable. Now, he and this couple (more often just the gf) as well as he and his friends go out and drink all night. Anybody want to hear about my most Lucid Dream ever?

About two weeks ago I had the most intensely real dream I can remember. I was trapped in a weird house, and saw an ever changing ogue of my father and different small children. I peered into a corridor, or large room, and saw complex structures of ordinary things. I saw a stair case with one step about 5 feet high, which I would have to climb, but was too scared because I thought the stairway would lead to heaven, and thus death. The realness of the dream was as real as now, which I feared, since I knew i was dreaming, so I kept trying to wake myself, which I eventually did. I tried to go outside of the house, but there was no outside, even when I went through the front door, it was just another room with gr. Every time I looked at my father, he changed from being my father to slowly getting younger and becoming a different person with the same hair and skin color, but then a different face and body shape, but somehow still him, yet not.The complexities I mentioned were just ordinary household things, like stairs, ovens, cabinets, windows, but in a complex almost fractal like structure, which somehow reached beyond the boundaries of the walls and ceiling of the house. I didn't go into the room/corridor, since it confused me and I would not know how to manage or comprehend the structure.What was so crazy, intense, and chilling was how real my perception was and how I remember it, yet seeing and experiencing all these anti-hallucinogenic (not trippy, but real or anti-real dream-like) things. Usually when remembering the experience of a dream, it is hazy, like under the influence of a drug, spacey, and blurred. But the lucidity, the clarity of everything I saw and the sharp, realistic memories I have totally fascinates me. When I woke up, I was still experiencing rapid eye movement, twitching, and the change or crossover from the two worlds was also crazy, because my consciousness and awareness were much hazier when I woke up, which was like getting punched in the face, going from being completely clear to woozy in a split second. Any thoughts?

Does it make common sense to go to college and pay 25 grand when you can go to Barns and Nobel and get any of the great philosophers, Stephen Hawking, any of the great mathematical minds, the arts, or practically anything you want for maybe 30 dollars. To me it seems that education isn't the reason people go, they only go to get that "better future" they keep hearing about, but I know countless people who have degrees and have jobs someone could have gotten without it, on top of that, their in debt up to their shoulders. hi there, i like this site for info. a href="http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/home.html." rel="nofollow"http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.co…/a i i do have a water dish in my tank but it is well ventilated. i still give them a bath though, just because they don't go in the water dish very much. i just use a tote lid and let them run around in the room. as for bedding a baby should be on paper towel or newspaper (wet newspaper can stain them and the tank with the newsprint, just fyi). when my babies were over 6" i put them on clean, washed playsand. you can also look into tiles for them as well, easier cleanup. i haven't seen the mercury vapor bulbs in my petstore yet, but it is supposed to help bring out more colors in the dragon, not sure if it's uvb or not. you do need the spotlight, basking light to make a hot area for them 95 ish a little warmer for babies. but the do still need the uvb, set up around 6" away from them. i have built up areas to get them closer to the lights and make the basking site warm enough. wattage depends on tank size and how far away they are from it. hope i helped a little, that site helped me alot.

Incubating chicken eggs?

So, I have two laying hens and a couple roosters. The laying hens just started laying eggs, and they are fertilized. since a chicken only lays one egg a day, i only get two eggs. But I want to put the eggs in an incubator but I want to put more than two. so would it be bad that I put two eggs in everyday? or is it possible that I can just keep the eggs in the house for 4 days so i can put the 8 eggs in the incubator all at once, or would that not work? If you also know, what temperature do i put the incubator at? and for how many days? The chickens I have are plymouth barred rock Thanks
