Is it discrimination to make offensive comments concerning one's mental illness?

Congratulations on maintaing your own life. There is great deal of stigma that comes along with mental illness and those who suffer unfortunately often deal with discrimination. Often the discrimination is a direct result of ignorance of the facts simply lack of knowledge as well fear. Your family I would ume love you and desire the best for you. Their lack of knowledge and fear clouds their judgement adds to their fears. Which then comes across as insensitivity and hateful. Maybe it is time to take the time to explain your feelings regarding their actions thus providing a bit of urance to those that love you.
