Can you trust an area of "science" that used to teach this?

I do believe you have hit a nerve! And, you are absolutely right. Except that science has stopped changing in response to valid criticism. They are now like an old established religion that sticks its head in the sand and refuses to acknowledge the truth about creation; in the universe and in the plant and animal kingdoms. When God appears in the sky over their heads, they will run around screaming in denial swearing that he's an hallucination!
