And why should I go to college?

Does it make common sense to go to college and pay 25 grand when you can go to Barns and Nobel and get any of the great philosophers, Stephen Hawking, any of the great mathematical minds, the arts, or practically anything you want for maybe 30 dollars. To me it seems that education isn't the reason people go, they only go to get that "better future" they keep hearing about, but I know countless people who have degrees and have jobs someone could have gotten without it, on top of that, their in debt up to their shoulders. Meanwhile, we can look Shakespeare, Mozart, Quentin Tarantino, Cosby, and countless others who either have nothing or basic education. The fact is, college isn't fit for a mind who WANTS to learn, only a mind which money is the priority (but this mindset usually fails). So why should I go to college?
