Inmate Mentoring Question?

I just took a Home For Good Mentoring cl. I'm suppose to do vollunteer mentoring with women upon release from prison. I'm wanting to put together a packet to help them. I was thinking about a free gift like an inspirational book and a list of employers who hire felons. Any suggestions on what els to put in the packet? What would be a nice gift to help them get started?
