Is it really that bad to be attracted to yourself?

I saw a question that asked if you were gay, could you be attracted to yourself. A lot of the answers said things like, "Sure, if you're narcissistic." Narcissism is a mental illness, and it's a lot more complicated than simply finding yourself attractive! Is it really that bad to be attracted to yourself/find yourself attractive?
